For Fall 2024, we are still deciding when to hold practices, but the typical was four days a week at the ski room. In 2023, this consisted of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 4:45.

Training consists of a combination of running, strength training, biking, rollerskiing, and ultimate frisbee. Practices aren’t required, but recommended. Practices start at the ski room unless otherwise stated in weekly update emails — instructions for that are listed under info.

The ski room is located in Schoellkopf Stadium, under the E/F section of the bleachers. Don’t worry if people aren’t in immediate sight – they’re likely tucked away around a corner or in the room itself. Look for other skiers around the Schoellkopf parking lot and concessions area.

We start skiing on snow at the end of winter break with Ski Camp, a week-long team trip to Quebec, Canada. Ski Camp is an opportunity for new skiers to learn the basics, and experienced skiers to train in high-quality conditions for a week. During the semester, we organize on-snow training at local ski areas.

For those who are serious or looking for additional training, listed below is the training plan for Cornell Nordic over the summer of 2024. At the bottom of the file, there are buttons in the lower left hand corner which allow you to screen through pages of the document. Happy trails and good skiing!
